Stains and Finishes: I use
only Minwax products for my staining and finishing of hardwood
frames. I have found them to be of the highest consistent
quality. I strive to achieve a consistent color and shade
throughout the frame. Due to the various woods, stains do not always
absorb equally throughout any given piece of wood. If you desire a color or
shade that is lighter or darker then what is shown on the web site please
let me know, and I will try to accommodate your needs by using more or less
stain as required. If there is a question in your mind as to the
actual color or shade of a stain, most home centers have a color chart
available of the stains put out by Minwax (this is another reason I use
Minwax).

Mat boards:
I use mat boards made by Crescent,
a known leader throughout the industry in the maker of mat boards for art
and photography work. The average standard thickness of mat board
is approximately 1/16" thick. Some arts and craft centers and
framing shops will have samples.

Hardwood and Finished Mouldings:
Occasionally there will
be a piece of molding that is damaged. I do my utmost to
find these defects and not use that section of moulding.
|
Custom made merchandise that is found to be defective or incorrectly made or assembled,
can be returned. I am willing to replace anything which is wrong
that is within my control. Such as a dimension I measured wrong or a
color that I did wrong. Below you find some examples of how this
applies
|
Defective or incorrect merchandise:
You order a frame 11" X 13" and I make a frame that
measures 11" X 14" or 11" X 12". You order a frame made out of #2261 hardwood moulding and I made #2266
hardwood moulding.
You order a frame stained with Charcoal Gray and I stained with English Oak.
You ordered a photograph of a Parrot and I sent an Osprey.
You want a mat that is blue and I sent a red one.
All of the above are within my control and therefore I will
correct the problem.
|
Items beyond my control cannot
be returned or
exchanged:
A mat color that is a shade different that what you perceived or thought.
An example or this is Very white, Arctic white, and Snow white, all
have a little different shade to them. If there is any question about
a color, email me for free a free sample. I do my best to portray them
as close as possible, but I cannot insure that your computer monitor
settings and mine are the same, nor under the same lighting conditions. It
is difficult to show slight variations of color.

A stain that is darker or lighter than you
thought it would be.
